The M HKA considers its task of collecting to consist of the responsibility of acquiring, researching, administering and opening to the public of works of art in public property. The basis of its collection is the Foundation Gordon Matta-Clark which dated back from the times of the ICC. Other important additional funds are the works it has acquired by itself and the works on permanent loan from the Flemish Community. Research will be concentrated on the connection of works of art with secondary material. Additionally, the M HKA administers the collectionVrielynck, a collection of pre-cinema and film hardware of international importance. |
