we refuse_d brings together fifteen artists who place refusal, perseverance and action at the centre of their practice. They explore what it means to persist, resist and create under conditions in which voices are silenced and in which censorship and displacement put artistic practice under pressure.
Stef Van Looveren — COSMIC BODY – First Incision
The project approaches the museum space as a hybrid of temple, body and alchemical laboratory, with a focus on material transformation – melting, merging and mirroring – as a way of exploring change as both ritual and embodied experience.
Carla Arocha & Stéphane Schraenen — 20 jaar en meer: werken uit de collectie
Through sculpture, painting, photography and installation, they explore how space, reflection and perception shape the way we look. Their work invites critical reflection.
