Artist talk
Yemo Park
19:00–20:30 | De Cinema, De Studio | Language: English
On troubleshooting as a method, business as a structure, and the construction of temporary worlds.
What if an artwork could operate simultaneously as a business, a narrative, and a social experiment?
In this talk, Yemo Park presents a practice that moves between problem-solving and speculation, treating artworks as testing grounds for alternative systems. These projects rework the rules and economies that shape both art and everyday life, blurring the boundaries between artistic production, commerce, and social relations.
About Yemo Park
Yemo Park (°1990, Seoul, Korea) develops her artistic practice through self-contained, often absurd fictional business concepts. Rather than aiming for market success, these projects function as conceptual frameworks that explore artistic autonomy, labour, the human condition, and the social forces shaping everyday life. Her sculptures and installations blur the boundary between functional objects and speculative tools, operating between the art market and the industries they mimic.
