The Salon

In the Salon on the first floor, there’s room for a young audience. Muhka’s most beautiful room is accessible to big and small, young and old, friends and family. Here, anyone who wants to think playfully and actively and wants to experiment with art and the museum is welcome.

There are museum games you can use for a hunt through the museum. You’ll find artful drawing assignments. Roll up your sleeves, give your imagination full reign and get to work, or dive into another world for a while – and devour a delightful picture book.

The Salon is open to the whole family during the museum’s opening hours.

Creative Sundays in the Salon

Every Sunday from 2 to 4 PM, someone is present to guide you through creative activities. This gives you an extra boost to explore and experiment with art and the museum in a playful way.

Cosmic Workshop

During the summer holidays (1 July to 31 August), we embark on an intergalactic tour every Sunday.

Step aboard the Galaxy Express, a dream train traveling through a lunar landscape full of craters, satellites, and space debris. Winnie Claessens and Kunst in Zicht create a universe of miniatures, melancholy, and wonder. Everything spins — except your imagination.

Every Sunday, visitors can join the Galaxy Express journey into space. Together, we imagine a future where satellites are less lonely and all space debris is neatly sorted. On other days, the installation is freely accessible.
