On Children’s Arts Day, Muhka embraces the theme Outside the Lines. Visitors are invited to break with convention, let go of the rules and give their creativity free rein through art forms including dance, music, theatre and visual art.
Throughout the day, families and children can join guided tours, workshops and other activities.

MuhkaDEE: Toddler Tour (ages 2–4)

Toddlers experience art in their own way: with curious eyes, eager hands and plenty of room for imagination. During this guided tour, we step together into Lee Bul’s extraordinary worlds. Shimmering landscapes, strange shapes and unusual buildings can sometimes seem as though they have come straight from a fairy tale. We look, touch and imagine worlds that can take on a different form again and again.

Family Tour – Lee Bul: From 1998 to Now (4+)
13:30–14:30 and 15:30–16:30
Explore the exhibition Lee Bul: From 1998 to Now together as a family. Look closely, encounter strange bodies and unusual worlds, draw what you see and try a series of short activities. Together, we look at the artworks from different angles and consider how Lee Bul reflects on humanity, the future and the world we live in.
Lee Bul Salon (4+)
11:00–17:00 | Level +1, Salon
Explore the Salon, a free space where visitors of all ages can investigate, experience, reflect and imagine through art. Here, you can draw, look, play and experiment at your own pace, taking inspiration from Lee Bul’s exhibition.
Mini-workshop (6+)
13:00–17:00
Children and their parents can drop in throughout the afternoon for a creative workshop inspired by Lee Bul’s worlds and ideas. A guide will support the making process.

Futuristic face painting
14:00–16:00
What might humans of the future look like? Silver skin, scales, gills, a third eye or a robotic arm? Our face-painting booth gives your skin a small futuristic twist. Your imagination can do the rest.
Pancakes at MuhkaFE
14:00–17:00 | Level +4, MuhkaFE
There is no Children’s Arts Day at Muhka without pancakes! Between 14:00 and 17:00, children receive a pancake at the café with the purchase of a drink. Take a seat at the long table and give your pancake an artistic makeover.
