A visit with your class: tips & house rules
Welcome to M HKA! To ensure your class visit runs smoothly and everyone can enjoy it, we share a few tips and kindly ask you to respect our house rules.
Before the visit
- Discuss with the pupils what they can expect during the museum visit.
- Explain which house rules apply and why they are important, for example that artworks must not be touched.
- Explain what to do in the event of an emergency, such as following the instructions of the museum staff and remaining calm.
- Inform everyone of the exact time and location of the museum visit. Arrive 15 minutes before the agreed time and report to the front desk.
- Ask the pupils to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, as there will be a lot of walking. Leave valuables at home.
During the visit
- Respect our house rules. This helps make a visit to the museum a pleasant experience for everyone.
- Combine a visit to the museum with a visit to Zuidpark. In good weather, you can picnic and play here. There are several play areas. Benches are also provided in various places.
- In good weather, you can also have lunch on our roof terrace.
- Also read our tips for making a visit to M HKA a pleasant day out in the Zuid.
After the visit
- Follow-up discussion: After the visit, talk with the children about what they saw and did and what they found most interesting. This helps them process the experience and encourages a positive attitude towards museums.
- Feedback: Please be sure to share your feedback with the museum team via muhka.be/feedback.
We look forward to welcoming you and hope you have an inspiring and enjoyable visit!
