Generations of readers and viewers grew up with their adventures, absorbing a wide range of images, atmospheres, emotions, and expressions. Just as their creator, Willy Vandersteen, drew inspiration from visual artists, many generations of visual artists have in turn been consciously or unconsciously shaped by Vandersteen’s visual and verbal universe.

The exhibition There Is Nothing Solid About Solidarity in INBOX shows how communities find new forms of connection outside established structures. The artworks make tangible how solidarity and empathy endure under pressure, and invite reflection and dialogue.

On the occasion of the publication of the book Founder’s Choice, Muhka brought together a selection of works by the artist for an INBOX presentation. The book offers a richly illustrated overview of the activities of T.O.P. office, compiled by Luc Deleu and published by Hopper & Fuchs.

In the summer of 2025 Muhka presented a selection of 20 billboard posters by international artists in its INBOX space (5th floor). The posters came from the second edition of the Onboards Biennale, which in summer 2023 transformed Antwerp’s urban landscape with 2 × 100 artworks displayed across the city.

In 2024, Sean Peleman won the Hugo Roelandt Prize with his graduation project in the programme Graphic Art and Drawing at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. The Muhka invited him to make a presentation for INBOX during the exhibition Hugo Roelandt – The End is a New Beginning. (spring 2025)
